GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – An investigation by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Task Force led to the arrest of a Goldsboro man they said was in possession of $80,000 worth of what they believe was cocaine.
David Macias, 20, Goldsboro was arrested after drug task force members said they searched his home and found approximately 800 grams of suspected cocaine with a street value of $80,000, about 30 grams of suspected heroin with a street value $14,000 and two stolen firearms.
Macias is being held at the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $315,000 bail.
Traffic stops conducted by the Goldsboro/Wayne County REACT Team led to the unrelated arrests of three other Goldsboro men on drug charges.
The following individuals were arrested and charged:
Michael Brewing, 23 – 103 S. Alabama Ave. Goldsboro. Secured bond: $3,000.
One count – possession with intent to distribute marijuana; one count – possession of MDMA, one count – possession of drug paraphernalia.
Maurice Lewis, 30 – 1517 Hart Cir. Goldsboro. Secured bond: $2,500.
One count – possession of firearm by felon, carry concealed weapon/gun
Kelly Bass, 46 – 2303 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro. Secured bond: $2,500.
One count – felony possession of heroin
