TOWNVILLE, SC (WNCT) – A six year old boy has died after being shot at a South Carolina school last week.
Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said Jacob Hall died Saturday afternoon. Jacob had been fighting for his life after he was critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday at Townville Elementary School. A bullet struck him in a main artery in his leg, causing him to lose a lot of blood.
Authorities said another student and a first-grade teacher were also shot when a 14-year-old boy opened fire on a playground. They were treated and released.
The teen allegedly killed his father before he drove to the school and started shooting on the playground.
On Friday, the suspect was charged with murder and three counts of attempted murder as a juvenile.
Officers have not yet released a motive.
