North Carolina teen charged after bomb found in home

CURRIE, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 13-year-old juvenile from the town of Currie in Pender County is being charged with making an incendiary device after a bomb was found in his home.

Local news outlets report that deputies responded to the home Wednesday evening after receiving reports of a possible bomb.

Pender County sheriff’s Capt. James Rowell says what he called a homemade incendiary device was found in the home.

Rowell says there was no threat to anyone outside the home and it appears to be an isolated incident.
