Four drug arrests in Wayne County traffic stops


GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Four people were arrested on drug charges in two separate Wayne County traffic stops Thursday.

Deputies said the K9 Ory detected narcotics in a vehicle stopped due to an equipment violation, and when deputies and officers searched the vehicle they found cocaine, heroin and a firearm.

Raymond Cheadle, 29, Clayton; Robert Washington Jr. 23, Goldsboro; and Jodeci Rivers, 23, Goldsboro; are being held in the Wayne County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000, $25,000 and $2,500 bail, respectively. Cheadle is a convicted felon.

The stop was conducted by the Goldsboro/Wayne County REACT Team, a partnership between the Goldsboro Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

In a separate traffic stop, Wayne County deputies arrested Jeremy Wallace of Goldsboro on charges of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia possession.

Wallace was taken into custody and placed in the Wayne County Jail.
