Dare County Drug Task Force arrests 5 on drug charges


MANTEO, N.C. (WNCT) – The Dare County Drug Task Force made five arrests after task force members said they saw a drug deal occur in a bar parking lot while working on an unrelated case.

Task force members followed a vehicle they said was involved in the drug deal, and after a K9 search they discovered marijuana and crack cocaine inside the vehicle.

Antonio Taylor, 27, of Jarvisburg; Justin Saunders, 27, of Jarvisburg; Darnell Woodley, 25, of Moyock; Randy Lamb, 28, of Grandy; and Marcus Johnson, 29, of Elizabeth City were all charged with drug-related crimes and have been released on bail.

The Dare County Narcotics Task Force is made up of the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, Nags Head Police Department, Kill Devil Hills Police Department, Kitty Hawk Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations and North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement.
