CareerFest connects hundreds of students, employers at Pitt Community College

WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Hundreds of students connected with future employers at the Pitt Community College CareerFest Thursday.

Over 40 employers like Coca-Cola, the U.S. Marines, and Food Lion came out for the first year of the program.

Alumni also attended to share their experience and spark interest and questions.

Director of Career Services Shakeena White said it’s not about exposing students to current positions but helping them understand the path they need to take.

“So when it’s time to go out there and utilize the skills and education that they’ve gotten here at PCC, they know what they need to have and they can make sure that they are prepared for it,” said Shakeena White, Director of Career Services, PCC.

Students of all ages ranging from high school to college were in attendance.
