Public hearing to be held on proposed Dominion Power rates

WILLIAMSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – A public hearing on proposed Dominion Power rate increases is happening Wednesday night in Williamston.

The company is proposing a 17.3% increase for electricity rates.

The change would take effect in November.

The North Carolina Utilities Commission invites customers in Martin County to voice their opinion at a public hearing.

It starts at 7pm in the Martin County District Courtroom.
