Flooding in Bertie & Beaufort County postpones football games

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Due to weather concerns, Washington High School and Bertie High School have postponed their football game for this weekend.

Washington was scheduled to host Kinston on Thursday night.

That game has been moved to Monday night at 7 o’clock. It will be aired on Time Warner Cable.


Bertie County has accumulated more than a foot of rain since Monday.

Falcons football coach Grantley Mizzelle confirmed with WNCT Wednesday night that Bertie’s Friday contest against Northeastern has been moved to Monday night at 7 o’clock.
