BEAUFORT, N.C. (WNCT) – Anti-bullying campaign Rachel’s Challenge is returning to Carteret County.
Last fall, the Rachel’s Challenge presentations were delivered at every middle and high school in Carteret County, but this year the presentations will be delivered at each of the county’s elementary schools.
Carteret County Public School’s director of healthful living Sue Kreuser said she is pleased the program will continue with the elementary school presentations.
“I am thrilled these elementary presentations are set to take place this month,” Kreuser said. “It is my hope that our school communities will use the language of this program every day. It is a philosophy our students and our community should live by; to treat people with kindness and compassion, and to know that even the small things that are done can be far reaching and have a significant impact on our school, our community and our world.”
There will also be five community forums between Wednesday and September 29.
The forum dates and times will be:
September 21, 6 p.m. at Down East Middle/Smyrna Elementary
September 22, 6 p.m. at Beaufort Elementary
September 26, 6 p.m. at Newport Elementary
September 28, 6 p.m. at Morehead City Primary (for Morehead City Elementary also)
September 29, 6 p.m. at Croatan High (for Bogue Sound Elementary/White Oak Elementary)
