Crews respond to overnight apartment fire


GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Greenville fire crews are investigating an early Tuesday morning apartment fire.

According to Pitt County Communications, the fire happened around 3:30 a.m. on Cheyenne Court, which is a complex off of Wedgewood Drive. That’s near Arlington Boulevard and Red Banks Road.

Greenville Fire Rescue responded to the fire, which started in the kitchen.

The incident commander on scene said two people were displaced and no one was injured.

9 On Your Side is told the apartment is not a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
