STRIVE NC names employer of the year and celebrates 16 years of helping “at risk” workforce


GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Strive NC marked more than a dozen years of celebrating the success of helping at risk men and women realize their potential to find and keep jobs Thursday night.

The Strive NC Anniversary Gala Benefit dinner and celebration was held at the Hilton hotel in Greenville. More than 250 people attended the event, where Bishop Rosie S. Oneal, Senior Pastor of Koinonia Christian Center was the keynote speaker. WNCT News Anchor Angela Green served as emcee for the event.

The organization honored several of its past graduates of its job training initiative and honored two local businesses for their role in employing several of its graduates over the years. Representatives from GK Café and Catering accepted an award and Third Street Facility Services was also honored as Employer of the Year.
