Onslow County Animal Services holds pet adoption event

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – One shopping center off Western Boulevard will be full of furry, four-legged friends ready for adoption through a three-day adoption event held by Onslow County Animal Services.

Many animal lovers at the event Friday were repeat customers.

“This is our second adoption,” said Anna Cantero, who adopted a dog. ”I just love animals. I’m from Miami, and at home I have seven dogs over there, so I just want to bring more dogs to the house.”

The event is located at the PetSmart parking lot off Western Boulevard.

Adoptions are available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Dogs cost $100 and cats are $80.

The cost includes vaccines, spay-neuter and microchips for your new pet.
