Jacksonville man arrested in Summersill Elementary School break-ins

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on charges of breaking into a Jacksonville elementary school Wednesday.

Deputies said they responded to two separate break-ins at Summersill Elementary School in May and August, respectively.

A Crime Stoppers tip, combined with video surveillance, eventually led to the arrest of Brandon Brooks, 23, of Jacksonville, according to deputies. Deputies said the stolen items were also recovered.

Brooks is being charged with breaking and entering, larceny, and injury to personal property.

He is being held in Onslow County Detention Center in lieu of $20,500 bail.
