Beached whale dies in Nags Head

NAGS HEAD, N.C. (WNCT) – A whale died after beaching itself in Nags Head Friday, according to the Marine Mammal Stranding Network.

The adult Cuvier’s beaked whale came ashore just north of the Outer Banks Pier, and the Marine Mammal Stranding Network has sent members to investigate the beaching.
