Two Jacksonville men arrested on armed robbery charges

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Two Jacksonville men were charged with the armed robbery of a man walking down a street near Cardinal Village Friday.

The Jacksonville Police Department arrested Daron Lisane and Dekwaan Boone after responding to a robbery report on Indian Drive.

Officers said the victim was walking and talking on a cell phone when he was approached by two men who presented a gun and demanded the victim’s wallet. According to a news release, the suspects took the victim’s wallet and phone and fled on foot.

Jacksonville officers arrested Lisane nearby minutes after receiving a description of the two men. After further investigation, they arrested Boone, who was taken into custody without incident.

“The swift response of the responding officers led to the apprehension of the first subject, the recovery of the victim’s property and the quick resolution of this case,” said Captain Ronnie Dorn, patrol division supervisor.

Lisane is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Boone is being held in lieu of $106,000 dollar bail.
