JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The United Way of Onslow County held its annual Campaign Kickoff Luncheon on Tuesday.
The theme of this year’s luncheon held at the Jacksonville Conference Center was unveiled as United Way Air: Soaring to New Heights. The event included an “onboard meal” and “in-flight campaign movie”, which educated and entertained more than 200 community members. There was also a memorable keynote address, where attendees learned about the United Way’s new rewards program available to campaign participants.
The organization’s 2016/2017 campaign goal is to support over 27,000 residents in the community, including reducing childhood hunger and veteran homelessness.
“It takes about $20 to help one person so it’s a very small gift to make a very meaningful change in someone’s life,” said Craig Wagner, President United Way of Onslow County.
The United Way of Onslow County said it remains committed to working collectively with its partners to deliver the community hope and prosperity. Click here for how you can help.
