Havelock man arrested on heroin, cocaine charges

HAVELOCK, N.C. (WNCT) – A Havelock man was arrested Thursday on heroin and cocaine charges after members of the Havelock Special Response Team and NCIS served him a search warrant at his apartment.

Wesley Nelson Sr., 54, faces charges of possession with intent to sell heroin and cocaine, as well as one count of maintaining a residence with the intent to sell narcotics.

The Havelock Police Department said that along with NCIS Cherry Point, they purchased cocaine and heroin from an individual at the apartment on Palomino Court as part of an investigation, which led to the search warrant.

Nelson was released on a $10,000 bond.
