Riley’s Army sells ribbons to raise pediatric cancer awareness

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Riley’s Army, a local organization aimed at providing support to children with cancer and their families, is selling ribbons to raise awareness for pediatric cancer.

All of the proceeds go to children and their families who are battling the disease.

Parent Rick Owens said the money raised goes to making sure families have a place to sleep at night while their child goes through chemo.

“They are having to sleep here for weeks on end, and so they need help with gas cards,” Owens said. “There is not a kitchen at the hospital, so they are having to eat out several meals a day.”
