JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – About two weeks ago, 9 On Your Side reported that Onslow County Schools was working to fill about 60 teacher vacancies before the start of the school year.
Now, most of those vacancies are filled.
There are only 17 vacancies remaining. Of those remaining vacancies, the majority are regular education positions. Seven are for exceptional children teacher positions.
Substitute teachers are filling the positions until full-time teachers are hired.
