Completion date for expanded Greenville greenway pushed back

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – If you planned to walk on the expanded new Greenville greenway in the near future, you may be out of luck.

The completion date has once again been pushed back.

In 2015, the Greenville city council allotted $1.6 million to expand a portion of the greenway. It’s expected to connect Evans Street Park and parts of ECU.

Public Works said the new completion date is between October and November.
