Touchdown Friday Set To Debut

GREENVILLE (WNCT) – Touchdown Friday, WNCT-TV’s high acclaimed high school football show, will debut Friday night at 11:05pm.

Touchdown Friday is the longest running high school football show in Eastern North Carolina. The show began as “Sportscenter 9 Extra” in the late 1980’s and evolved into Touchdown Friday after a couple of years.

Farmville Central’s match-up with Kinston is the first Touchdown Friday “Game of the Week” for the new season. Kinston rolled past the Jaguars on the road last year and then reeled off 14 more wins in a row before falling in the state finals.

Havelock is the number one team in the Touchdown Friday Top 9 rankings. The Rams will host Washington in the show’s “Backyard Brawl”.
