Sneads Ferry man arrested for concealing drugs for brother recently charged with heroin possesion

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies arrested a Sneads Ferry man for attempting to conceal narcotics for his brother, who was recently arrested for possession of heroin.

According to the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant at the home of 36-year-old Gregory Grappo after they developed information that he was conspiring to conceal heroin, narcotics and cash from law enforcement for his brother, Joshua Grappo, who is currently incarcerated at the Onslow County Detention Center. Deputies said in a news release Thursday that they recovered a bindle of heroin, along with other illegal narcotics and $3,950 in U.S. currency.

Grappo was taken into custody Monday and brought before the magistrate. He was charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Heroin; Felony Conspiracy to Manufacture Heroin; and (2) Counts of Felony Probation Violation. Grappo is currently being held at the Onslow County Detention Center under a $600,00 secured bond.
