War veteran reunited with K9 after years of being apart

SEATTLE, W.A. (WNCT) – A war veteran, and now county deputy, is reunited with the dog he served alongside of.

Deputy Mike Lamon worked with Adam, the dog, as part of a K9 bomb team in the Middle East. Lamon eventually returned home, while Adam stayed to help out over seas.

The two were finally set to be reunited at the airport, more than six years later.

“My palms are sweating, I’m sweating yea a little beside myself,” Lamon said. “I gotta calm my nerves down a little bit.”

Lamon was worried if Adam would remember him after all these years. With the help of Mission K9, Adam was reunited with Lamon, and he sure did remember him.

Those with Mission K9 said it is an honor to help reunite veterans with their four legged friends.
