High School Football scrimmages continue across the east

TARBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Tarboro High School hosted its annual Jamboree on Friday evening, welcoming J.H. Rose, SouthWest Edgecombe, North Edgecombe, North Lenoir, and South Lenoir High School.

The event acts as a tune-up before regular season games kick off in a weeks time, on August 19.

In Pitt County, Ayden-Grifton High School hosted West Carteret and South Central high school in a Friday evening scrimmage.

Again, Week 1 of the High School football regular season is August 19.
