GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Two men are behind bars after deputies said they robbed and kidnapped a Pitt County man.
The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the home of James Reed Williams Jr. between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Friday in reference to a suspicious person. When they arrived, a black male told them he had been kidnapped and forced to enter a ditch at gun point.
The report said Williams was approached at his residence by a single suspect who forced him to drive his Mercedes Benz to a location near Moyewood to pick up a second suspect.
The two suspects, Tyquezz Clark and Brandon Jarrod Johnson, returned to William’s house and stole his wallet and car. Before leaving, they forced Williams into the trunk, driving to the Pactolus area where they then wrapped his feet, hands and mouth with duct tape.
They then forced Williams into the ditch with a firearm pointed at him before fleeing the scene.
Tyquezz Clark and Brandon Jarrod Johnson each are charged with first degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, first degree burglary, and two counts of larceny of motor vehicles.
Clark is in jail under a $600,000 bond, while Johnson has a bond set at $1,010,000.
WNCT reached out to the victim, who said he didn’t want to comment.
