Fort Bragg soldier arrested and charged with rape of a minor

Fayetteville, N.C. (WNCT) – A soldier stationed at Fort Bragg has been charged with 2nd degree forcible rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Fayetteville Police Department’s Special Victims Unit arrested 20 year old Christian Chalk on Monday, August 8, the incident happened on July 30. Authorities say Chalk was known to the 16 year old victim.

He’s being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $100,000 secured bond. Chalk’s next court appearance is scheduled for August 30.
