Georgia outlasts North State to win Tournament of State Champions

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) –  Northern Little League of Columbus, Georgia came from behind with a 10-run, sixth inning and beat Greenville North State, 13-10 to win the 9-11 year old Tournament of State Champions at Stallings Stadium.

North State took a 5-3 lead into the sixth inning, but couldn’t slow down the potent Columbus, GA attack, giving up ten big runs.

The home town entry did rally with five runs of their own in the sixth, and sent the winning run to the plate before falling. Bryce Johnson hit a grand slam in that sixth inning for North State as a part of that rally.

Dylan Presley led Columbus with three hits and four RBI’s.
