Greenville advances to title game at Tournament of State Champions


GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – North Carolina, represented by Greenville’s North State little league team, powered past Virginia in the semi-finals Tuesday of the Tournament of State Champions.

North Carolina used a 4-run third inning, and 8-run 4th inning to hold off Virginia 12-6.

With the win, North Carolina advances to Wednesday’s title game against Georgia, the defending tournament champion.

First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at Elm Street Park in Greenville.
