GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The first day of school is right around the corner.
For parents, it’s time to start getting your kids back in a routine.
To help get them back on schedule, Martin-Pitt Partnership for Kids outreach director Amanda Parmelee said start making them go to bed 5 to 10 minutes earlier than usual every night, ”Making sure that your kids are getting enough sleep and making sure you are establishing what time they need to go to bed, what time you will be needing them to wake up.
She said once school starts, your kids will be focused and ready to go in the morning.
Parmelee also suggests making sure your children eat a nutritious breakfast to support energy and mental focus throughout the morning.
