Greenville Public Works crews need your help to keep city clean

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – This time of year can be very busy for Greenville’s Public Works department.

Crews need your help to keep the city clean.

With students moving in and out, sanitation workers want to remind people to properly discard their trash.

If dumpsters are overflowing, put extra trash to the side of the bin not in front of it.

If you have bulky items, like furniture that can’t fit inside the dumpster, schedule a time for Public Works to pick it up.

Delbert Bryant with Public Works said he knows people have a lot of trash they need to get rid of, but they still need to follow the rules, “It prevents our neighborhoods from looking trashy, prevents litter, prevents trash from blowing everywhere, and also it gives us and idea of what we need to do.”

If you need more information, give Public Works a call.
