Arrest made in Thursday afternoon shooting in Scotland Neck

SCOTLAND NECK, N.C. (WNCT) – Police make an arrest after an argument results in a shooting in Scotland Neck.

The Scotland Neck Police Department says the shooting happened Thursday afternoon on Main Street.

Police say the shooting stemmed from an altercation between several people.

No one was injured during shooting.

Investigators arrested Brandon Taylor within minutes of officers responding to the incident. Police believe Taylor fired one shot during the incident.

Taylor was charged with multiple felonies and given a $15,000 bond.

The Scotland Neck Police Department says it will continue to increase police presence in order to combat incidents like this in community.
