MCAS Change of Command Ceremony

CHERRY POINT: A new commander is taking over at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point today. Col. Todd W. Ferry will take the helm from Col. Chris Pappas III during a change of command ceremony at 10am. Ferry is coming to MCAS Cherry Point after serving as the J-5 Mission Support Division chief and as the J-5 director of staff, United States Africa Command, since 2013.

From 2010 to 2012, Ferry was the commanding officer of Marine Medium Helicopter Training Squadron 164, MCAS Camp Pendleton, California.

The change of command comes as Cherry Point is preparing to celebrate 75 years of service in Eastern North Carolina next month on August 18th.
