Silver Alert issued for missing Eureka man

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – There’s a Silver Alert out for a missing Eureka man.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Wednesday morning that it has requested and been granted a Silver Alert for 81-year-old Arthur Pickens. He was reported missing from his home by family members Tuesday and last seen around 9 a.m.

Pickens is believed to have walked away from the home wearing a white in color long sleeve shirt, black pants and a dark blue in color baseball cap. He’s about 6′ tall and weighs about 170 lbs. It’s thought that he may be trying to travel to Washington D.C.

If you’ve seen Pickens, contact 911 and let them know immediately.
