Eastern Carolina delegate: Party is united

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Close to 200 people from North Carolina are representing the state in Philadelphia this week.

There are more than 100 delegates for both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

One Clinton delegate has represented the state at the Democratic National Convention four times. Kennis Wilkins said he’s enjoying his time in Philly.

He said there are some Sanders supporters who refuse to jump on the Clinton campaign, but they are the minority, not the majority,” It’s not to the point where we’re not unified. The party is unified.”

Wilkins said the real work starts when the convention ends.
