Greenville teen apprehended in shooting of fellow teen

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Police have arrested a teen for the shooting of another teen late last week.

Greenville Police said in a news release Tuesday that the department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested 16-year-old Jamahze Rahzel Williams, of Greenville, for the shooting of a 15-year-old Friday night. It happened at a park behind the South Greenville Gym.

The teen that was shot is still hospitalized, but his condition is improving.

Williams was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond. He faces charges of Attempted First Degree Murder, AWDWIKISI, and Discharging a Weapon Within City Limits.
