GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – A Wayne County murder suspect faces additional charges after deputies found meth and other drugs in his vehicle.
Wayne County authorities searched Moyers’ vehicle and found two dosage units of heroin, 12 dosage units of schedule IV prescription medication, approximately 26 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Moyers was charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin, and possession with intent to sell or distribute a schedule IV controlled substance.
Moyers is already being held without bond for murder.
DUDLEY, N.C. (WNCT)- A Dudley man is charged with murder.
On Monday, deputies arrested 24-year-old Matthew Moyers at a house in Dudley.
Moyers was wanted in connection with a weekend murder.
At 12:30 a.m. Saturday, the sheriff’s office was notified a person was shot at a business located on U.S. 117 South. When deputies arrived, they found Joshua Omar Forbes in his car at the business. It was determined he died as the result of a gunshot wound.
Investigators determined the shooting took place on Bryan Blvd. in the Mar Mac community. Forbes went to a home there, where he got into a confrontation in the yard. That’s where deputies say Moyers shot and killed Forbes.
Moyers is charged with murder and is being held without bond.
