Summer weather affecting area golf courses bottom line

SNOW HILL, N.C. (WNCT) – Golf courses in our area are seeing how this summer’s weather is hitting their bottom line.

Cutter Creek in Snow Hill says there’s been a reduced number of players because of the heat. And they’ve had to increase labor costs to fix bunkers after the recent rains.

There’s a different story at Ironwood in Greenville.

Those 9 On Your Side talked to say the rain helps with their cost of maintenance. But they agree that players are staying in because of the rain.
