Play Pokemon Go, raise money for Onslow Co. animal shelter

JACKSONVILLE,  N.C. (WNCT) – Onslow County Animal Services is capitalizing on your addiction for Pokemon Go.

Now you can help the shelter raise money while playing the app.

Start out by downloading the “Wolf Tracks” app on your phone and select Onslow Animal Services as the beneficiary. It will then will track the distance you travel while playing Pokemon Go.

The more you walk, the more money the shelter gets.

Onslow County Animal Services Community Outreach Coordinator Jennifer Monteforte said the shelter is currently at capacity for kittens and needs your help, “It’s a great way to get involved. If you can’t necessarily come in and give your time to help out the shelter, it’s a very simple way to create some extra money for the shelter and help out our furry friends.”

And of course, if Pokemon go isn’t your thing, you can still help the shelter by using the app when you’re just out walking you furry friend.
