Phone lines down at BCCC after thunderstorm, new system being installed

WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – The telephone system at Beaufort County Community College will remain down until July 27th as crews work to install a new phone system following a thunderstorm.

According to the college, it was planning to install a new phone system this summer. However, after a thunderstorm damaged the current one, they decided to push up the installation date of the new system.

College officials say the installation will cause some telephone service to be down until July 27th.

During the transition, all campus operations will continue as scheduled. People calling the admissions and financial aid offices will need to call the lines directly. Additionally, calls to all other departments will go to a voicemail. If you need to reach a department the college says you can always use email.

To reach the Admissions Office call (252) 940-6233 or the Financial Aid Office at (252) 940-6222.
