Greenville Babe Ruth 15’s prep for SE Regionals in Tennessee

GREENVILLE (WNCT) –  Greenville’s Babe Ruth 15 all-star team took the long road to the ENC state championship this past week at Guy Smith Stadium.

Now, the squad will take another long road, this one to Union City, Tennessee for the Babe Ruth Southeast Regionals.

Greenville lost its first game in the state tournament to Nash County, but then reeled off seven wins in a row to advance.

Greenville beat rival Pitt County 5-1 and 11-0 on Tuesday night to clinch the regional berth. Greenville will open play in Tennessee on July 26th.

This post-season run is weighing on the wallets of the parents. If you’d like to help support Greenville’s quest for a title, you can donate on their safe and secure Go Fund Me website, at
