Suspect sought in armed robbery of Coastal Cleaners in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Jacksonville Police Department is looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that took place Tuesday afternoon on July 19 at Coastal Cleaners located on 345-F Western Boulevard.

In the preliminary investigation, store employees told investigators the suspect entered the business with a gun and forced them to the back of the store. The suspect, who is described as a black man, between the ages of 20-30 years old then took cash from the register and fled on food.

Police also say the suspect was wearing a black hoodie with grey patches and is estimated to be 5’6 average build with short hair and no facial hair.

Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 for information leading to arrest. Callers to Crime Stoppers are not required to reveal their identities.
