Online Poll: New Bern Fire-Rescue requesting community input on strategic planning

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – Figuring out just what New Bern Fire-Rescue crews should consider their highest priority.

That’s why the city wants residents to take an online poll and participate in strategic planning. The planning will identify strengths and weaknesses within the department.

The online survey is an opportunity for community members to rank services and provide feedback.

Fire and Rescue Chief Robert Boyd said it’s part of a long-term plan to improve operations, “Typically, people don’t think about the fire department until something happens. This is an opportunity for them to see all that we do and provide us feedback.”

If you can’t do the online survey, a public information session will be held July 27th at the station’s headquarters.

The results will be presented sometime this fall.
