Leland man wanted on numerous drug charges dating back to 2015

KENANSVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Warrants are out for the arrest of a Leland man, wanted for numerous drug charges.

31-year-old David Jacobs is wanted for three counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell and Deliver Schedule III, Maintain a Dwelling Place to Keep Controlled Substances, Felony Possession of Schedule III, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Tuesday that the warrants were issued after an investigation into an incident that occurred back in April of 2015. That’s when a deputy stopped a vehicle at the rest area near Warsaw.  A K-9 scan alerted on the vehicle and a search of the vehicle revealed a metal can in the back seat which contained marijuana. Deputies also found a suspicious package in the vehicle which was shipped from China.  The items of the package were sent to the SBI lab for analysis and showed the contents of the package were 563.7 grams of Testosterone Enanthate, Trenbolone Enanthate, and Testosterone Propionate (steroids).
