Traffic disruptions in Greenville are inevitable

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT)- Detours and road closures in Greenville are going to be a part of your daily commute for many years to come.

Thanks to pavement projects, street light upgrades, and the 10th street connector, there will be a lot of traffic disruptions. Kevin Mulligan with the city’s public works department says it’s the sign of progress.

This week traffic lights were replaced on major roads. In August Arlington Boulevard will receive much-needed repairs. Mulligan says there’s no way around it. He says to monitor signs as you drive in and out of town.

“We’re coordinating as best we can, and we’ll be advertising that information on our website as to where sort of these construction projects are located,” Kevin Mulligan said.

If you want a full list of detours, road blocks, and construction projects give public works a call.
