JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies have again arrested a Sneads Ferry man for drug-related charges. He was last arrested in June.
49-year-old John Robert Pruitt Jr. was taken in custody by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit on Tuesday for outstanding drug charges. According to deputies, Pruitt was arrested in June after an investigation by the Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit found him in possession of heroin. Pruitt was jailed, but was released on a secured bond. Shortly thereafter, another tip was received that Pruitt had more drugs stored at a residence in Sneads Ferry in addition to the first batch of drugs he was arrested for earlier.
Deputies say they found heroin, pills, and drug paraphernalia and again charged Pruitt. He’s charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell and Deliver Schedule I (Heroin), Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substances, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Pruitt was taken before the magistrate, where he received a $5,000 secured bond.
