GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Bringing Pikachu into the backyard is now a reality.
The world is still going crazy over the new app, Pokemon Go. It has been downloaded more than 15 million times in its first two weeks.
The Pokemon craze has made its way to the East.
It’s not just gamers who are embracing the popular game. Local businesses encourage people to play at their establishments.
“Dental health’s important anything to get people here especially young people, I mean, it’s totally beneficial,” said Steven Warren, of Michels and Gauquie.
Michels and Gauquie encourage patients and community members to play at their Poke stop. You can play Pokemon, get a cool drink, and maybe even a toothbrush.
You can see gamers trying to catch characters all over Greenville. They’re at the park, gaming shops, restaurants and even at the dentist.
It doesn’t matter the age. Everyone is into this game.
While the game is getting a lot of attention, police stations across the area continue to warn you about the dangers of wandering around while searching for Pokemon.
Police suggest setting time and area restrictions for your children, and never allow them to walk around alone.
