Riley’s Army donates over $14,000 to Camp Rainbow

GREENVILLE, N..C (WNCT) – Riley’s Army, which serves over 200 children and their families in Eastern NC who battle, or have survived cancer, is sponsored 15 children to attend Camp Rainbow in June.

They also presented Camp Rainbow with a $14,775 check.

Camp Rainbow is dedicated to providing free camping experiences to children undergoing treatment for, and survivors of, cancer and blood-related diseases and disorders.

Due to community donations and fundraisers, Riley’s Army helped send 15 children to camp.

The organization was established in April of 2008 to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer patients and to recruit, train and provide volunteers to sit with these patients and their siblings.
