GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Goodlettsville firefighters saved the life of a baby deer who had fallen down a hill near the fire hall on Wednesday.

The department posted to Facebook the deer was nearly lifeless when it was found by the firefighters.

Covered with scrapes and scratches, the men got the fawn out of the thicket it was trapped in and brought it back into the fire station.

The firefighters gave the deer fluids by syringe and nursed it until it could stand on its own again.

After observing the deer for a few hours, the deer was released back into its habitat where it will hopefully reconnect with its mother.
