Hundreds expected to gather at Pearson Park for annual concert and fireworks

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – Many locals were expected to join Kinston Monday for its annual concert and fireworks.

Rain or shine, the concert will go on at Pearson Park, right across the street from the Chef and the Farmer. It all kicks off at 6 p.m., with fireworks beginning at 9 p.m.

There will be food and drinks with plenty to do.

Adrian King, Pride director, said people look forward to this event every single year, “We have people coming out here from New Bern, Pollocksville, Maysville, and Goldsboro, so we have a pre-Eastern North Carolina draw.”

If you plan on coming, King said to bring a lawn chair and umbrella just in case.
