Goldsboro Police investigating teen’s shooting death

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Police are investigating a teen’s shooting death.

It happened overnight around 2:20 a.m. in the 400 block of East Holly Street in Goldsboro.

Officers responding to a shots fired call found a black male, identified as 17-year-old Montez Lamar Wilson of Goldsboro, lying on the side of the road, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. When EMS arrived at the scene, they pronounced Wilson dead.

Investigation into the incident is underway.
